A useful cleaning estimate starts with the right details. If you are planning a visit in Dallas–Fort Worth, a room count alone may leave important questions unanswered. Carpeted stairs, a large sectional, an area rug and recurring pet odors can each change the scope. Here is what to send R1 Carpet & Tile Care so we can discuss the work and confirm an estimate before you book.
Start with your city, ZIP code and preferred day
Tell us where the property is and which days work for you. Mention whether it is a house, apartment, office or other commercial space. For an apartment or upper-floor location, include the floor, elevator access and any parking or building-access restrictions. These details help us plan equipment access and travel between DFW appointments.
A preferred day is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We will confirm availability and an arrival window after reviewing the job. If you have a move-out inspection or another deadline, include that date and allow time for drying before normal use.
For carpet: room sizes, stairs and problem areas
List each carpeted room and its approximate length and width. Identify hallways, closets, landings and stairs separately; for stairs, send the number of steps. Tell us whether the rooms are furnished and which areas you want cleaned. A wide photo of each room plus close-ups of stains is more useful than a close-up alone.
Explain any pet accidents, recurring odors or previous spot treatments. Photos help us understand the request, but they cannot establish the carpet fiber, stain depth or condition of the padding. Some recommendations need an on-site inspection. See our professional carpet-cleaning process and Dallas carpet-cleaning service information.
For a sofa or sectional: show the whole piece
Send one photo showing the entire sofa, sectional or chair, then close-ups of stained areas. Note the number of seats, any chaise or recliner sections, and whether cushions are removable. If a care label is accessible without moving heavy furniture, photograph it too. Let us know about spills, pet concerns and cleaning products already used.
Fabric appearance alone does not determine the appropriate cleaning method. We review the material and condition before recommending treatment. Our upholstery and sofa cleaning page explains the service.
For an area rug: size, label and both sides
Provide the rug’s approximate length and width, a full photo of the top, and a label photo if available. If it is easy and safe to lift a corner, a photo of the backing can help. Do not move heavy furniture just to take a picture. Mention fringe, loose edges, color changes, pet accidents or any previous cleaning or protective treatment.
Tell us whether you want the same treatment as a previous visit and what that treatment was. An old price or a different rug’s price does not confirm the current scope. We will discuss the suitable approach and any limitations before work is agreed.
A message you can copy
“Hi R1, I am in [city and ZIP]. I need [rooms and approximate sizes / sofa configuration / rug dimensions] cleaned. My main concerns are [stains, odors or routine soil]. I have attached photos and any available care labels. The property has [stairs, elevator or access details]. My preferred days are [dates]. Please confirm the recommended scope, estimate and appointment availability.”
Confirm the details before booking
Ask what the estimate includes, whether optional stain or odor treatment would cost extra, and what preparation is needed. Drying depends on the material, cleaning method and indoor conditions; review our carpet drying guide when planning your day. No photo-based estimate can guarantee removal of every stain or odor.
